About Teacher and the Poet
The duo has been friends since high school, bonding over music and their love of SpongeBob. After their years-long friendship and countless jam sessions, Bridget and Tyler decided to form Teacher and the Poet in 2019.
They play anything from classic rock to jazz to country to top 40 hits, acoustically. If you see them live, you can expect to hear a combination of your favorite artists. And they have tons of fun while doing it!
The duo recently decided to exBAND, adding a bassist and a drummer to add a fuller sound. With more versatility, Teacher and the Poet play shows either as a full band or as the duo. But no matter who you see, it's always a great time!

The Teacher-Tyler MangoldBelieve it or not, Tyler's primary instrument isn't the guitar. He originally found his rhythm through the drums. He has played the drums in a few bands over the years but has challenged himself to learn epic guitar solos and master the looper pedal for this acoustic act. He also dabbles with the piano and even the cello!
